Dark Room by Phyllis Christopher is coming home to San Francisco with a very special launch at the Folsom Street Community Centre on 21 August! It’s the first and possibly only IRL event with all of the contributors – Phyllis will be joined by Susie Bright, Laura Guy, Shar Rednour and Michelle Tea. The event will be hosted by Center for Sex and Culture and hosted by Carol Queen.

Phyllis says (via her Instagram): “we’ll share stories, do a few readings …I’ll do a slide show talk with some never before seen out takes from San Francisco in the 90’s. As I’ve been hunting through my archive I’ve been thinking about how we build beautiful queer families and this book is a collaboration, a celebration of that…it’s a victory that it exists at all!”
