COVID SAFETY

TLDR: Bring your fancy face mask! If you are feeling at all unwell, skip the party. It’s up to us to keep each other safe and healthy.

We commit to meeting or exceeding every city requirement to make all of our events as safe as possible for all that attend. Outdoor events such as our street fairs are lower risk, but despite all mitigation efforts, exposure to COVID-19 is an inherent risk in any location where people are present.

Our board and staff have evaluated our ability to implement additional safety measures and have a plan for:

  • Touchless hand sanitizer

  • Hands-free drinking water dispensers throughout the fair

  • Providing masks at our info booths

  • Creating more space for distancing, with expanded footprint and stage modifications

  • Department of Public Health (DPH) onsite

Mask guidelines will comply with all county/city guidelines. For San Francisco, that information can be found here. At this time, this means that masks are provided and recommended, especially in more crowded environments, but not required. We highly recommend k/n95 masks. These masks are specifically designed to protect the wearer and provide robust protection, even with one-way masking. There is substantial evidence suggesting that medical grade masks are significantly more protective than cloth masks, and k/n95 masks are more protective still. You can wear a cute cloth mask over your k/n95! When you are making decisions about mask use and attending in-person events in general, please weigh your individual risk factors (health conditions, unvaccinated or immunocompromised contacts, age, and so on) to take care of yourselves and those around you.
